What a wonderful day it was! Heather and I decided to sleep in this time, and we truly enjoyed catching up on some much-needed rest. Heather is struggling with her allergies, and the near 100-degree temperatures and extremely sticky humidity are making it difficult for her.

Our first stop was to fill up the car with petrol. Next, we met up with Jinger and her family. After a short drive to Nashville, we arrived at Missions BBQ. The food was delicious, and the company was great. Heather and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with our friends and exploring the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. David and Gabriel guided us along and shared experiences and stories about this beautiful place. From the Christmas Season to differences of night and day, their memories enriched our day. Thank you for sharing. Okay on with the facilities. It’s a massive building with multiple levels and shops. The atrium was particularly impressive, featuring giant elephant ears, peace lilies, and the largest hosta plants I’ve ever seen. There were also waterfalls, fountains, and beautiful flower gardens. I know Heather’s dad would love this place. No, Dad, we didn’t spot any Mexican top hats. There were simply so many plants and flowers, it is truly an incredible place.

Next, we parted ways with Jinger, David, and Gabriel and drove across the street to our paid parking for our first visit to The Grand Ole Opry House.

We had fantastic seats! The concert was incredible. Every performance was amplified by the nostalgia and ambiance of being in this venue. We were thoroughly impressed by several performances. None of them will be forgotten. We saw both new and emerging artists like DEK of Hearts (known for their harmonious vocals) and the classic Oak Ridge Boys (introducing new members to the band). It’s hard to believe these artists are so much older yet their music remains timeless. I just wish I lived closer so I could come back each week to see and experience all these amazing artists.

We concluded our Grand Ole Day by driving back to Clarksville and stopping at an IHOP for a late-night breakfast. It was delicious! We indulged in more pancakes with sugar-free syrup and coffee. As we prepared for more rest, our hotel room called to us. Poor Heather, with her allergies, took her medicine and promptly fell asleep. On the other hand, I had an exciting day to share. Thanks for following us along the way.
