Today is our first real sea day. We woke up and had breakfast delivered to our room. Was really nice. The ship was smoothly moving along and I had to screw it all up. I said “Heather it has been so nice in the back of the ship.” “We have barely felt anything.” Then it happened, two minutes later the sea heard me and decided to churn up the waters. It’s been a little funny doing the drunk walk with others as we pass by each other. Dodge and weave. Not so funny when it’s an 80 year old grasping for handrails.

My vertigo has hit me hard now even with my Dramamine and behind the ear patches. Still rocking my own boat. The comedian last night said when it hits you just start drinking. Your wobble will straighten you out.

We had some great pizza for lunch today. We split a small pizza and a salad. Delicious! 😋

After lunch it was the passengers against officers playing Giant Jenga. Was a lot of fun to watch as the ship was shifting around.

I did have a Jack and Diet Coke. Nope doesn’t work with the walking. We visited the excursion center. The ship gave us a coupon for 10% off so we used it for Halifax tomorrow. We are going to George’s Island.

Our pre-dinner tummy stretch is on. We are lounging on our balcony listening to the sounds of ocean.

Misty and Scotty welcomed a new member to their expanding family—an adorable puppy! We’ll share pictures once we get them. HINT! HINT! Need a new Rhyder pic as well.

On a related note, Canada is an excellent adoption destination for Americans No Kill Shelters. They have a $1,500 adoption fee and the pet has to be spayed or neutered. Canada takes in thousands of dogs annually. However, the fee increases significantly if the dog is registered for breeding. Remarkably, over half of Canadian households have a furry companion. Pet ownership in Canada is highly valued, with strict penalties for neglect or abuse. Leash laws violations start at $240, and severe abuse can result in fines as high as $75,000. 🫪

We had dinner at the buffet and it was the same menu that was served at most of the restaurants. Just more selection options or side dishes.

Tonight was our first early night in a long time. We dined and dashed after stopping by the poolside and grabbed some refreshments for the room.

Some good advice: Remember to never buy your shoes from a drug dealer. You don’t know what he laced them with, and you might be tripping all day!
