It’s up and at em time! Got to be at the Wheelhouse Bar for our excursion by 8 a.m. Breakfast will be fast and easy. Scrambled eggs again.

We hope everyone takes the time to vote for our grandson as baby of the year! Of course the voting is over today. They did not tell us about the website until yesterday. Thank you for all the wishes and support. It is cool 😎 that his parents have entered into this fund raising campaign. I’m sure the prize is compelling as well!

It is raining here big time. We walked the gangway down and thank goodness I had gotten out our good coats. We still had our shoes wet but everything else was okay. our bus driver with 28 years experience was Blain. He was a little heavy with the brakes and close to the curbs in his turns. Our tour guide shares the same name as Heather so when referring to the tour guide Heather I will add aye to the name. Heather aye was full of great information about the island, its history, education, and all things PEI.(Prince Edward Island) Heather was looking for Central Christian Church in Charlottetown. We finally drove by it today and Heather was able to share with Heather aye that this was the first Disciples of Christ Church in Canada and started the DOC of Canada movement. Pretty cool 😎

We started off from the cruise terminal and drove through the town of Charlottetown. Raining down hard where we couldn’t see anything clearly. Heather aye informed us that they officially closed down the bridge for high sided vehicles due to high winds. She did say we were still going to the bridge, just not able to cross it. Very disappointed but nothing anyone could do about it.

Very windy day. That part felt like home but it didn’t have the feed yard smell with it. Go Hereford! Heather aye explained that they have a great veterinarian school. Last year the program graduated 64 veterinarians and 53 of them were female. Women are starting to dominate the profession.

Heather aye said that the island was a major producer of potatoes for Canada. They process over 400 thousand pounds of potatoes a day. Most are cut for French fries. About 70%.

After returning to the ship we ate at the outdoor pizza place by the pool. Pizza was delicious. Heather finally got her ice cream concoction called a Napoleon. Was all cake and no ice cream to me.

I went for a nap as Heather went to the Spa. She got the works. Oil change, tire rotation, and filter replaced. After her massage, hot stone treatment, and scalp treatment she’s going to be sore tomorrow.

We spent an hour and a half in our room looking for where I had misplaced Heathers medicine. We looked in our luggage, under the bed, through everything three times over. I had a phone call come in while Heather was still looking. We gave up. As we were getting ready for dinner I thought about my shot and pulled the box out of the little refrigerator. Guess what was inside my box. Yep! Ohh the wasted time.

I had oxtail soup, chicken cordon blu, and lemon curd cheesecake with orange sherbet. Wow are we spoiled. Heather had an amazing spaghetti with bacon dish. I had to try hers it smelled and looked so delicious. No disappointment here. We talk to a very nice couple from Vancouver, Canada. He’s a hay farmer. They love to travel and just started to cruise. There name is Patty and Brad. We had John and Jannie seats two tables over from us and we waved and spoke briefly.

Heather and I parted ways after dinner. She went to the theater and I got a snack and headed to the room. Heather said at the show the star Megan Murphy aka Big Red picked Brad and Patty out of the crowd and asked them “How long have you been married?” 42 years! Megan then asked “Was it love at first sight?” and Patty said “No!” Then she asked Brad “Was it life changing, mind blowing love at first sight?” He answered hesitantly “Sure!”

Both Heather and I spoke with Jacob and Abigail on our separate ways to our room. Such wonderful people.

Tomorrow is clean clothes day! Yippee skippy. No more flippy the skivvies! We’ve been working on our Trans Canada Journey. We have most of it done, leaving room to adjust the schedule as needed. We have to avoid heavy smoke from the fire areas. Canada currently has 503 active wildfires. Out of those there are 332 classified as out of control. We will monitor and plan accordingly.
