Here is to our Great Adventure

Exciting Adventures Ahead!

Camp has finished, and the last week has been finalized. Now, we are off to explore the beauty of the USA and Canada!

Join us as we travel through this sabbatical adventure, sharing our experiences and memories along the way! Stay tuned for updates and photos from our explorations!

Michael and Heather Reed live in Amarillo. Well we own a house in Amarillo. Heather is a Community Regional minister for the CCSW and Mike travels with her to make sure she knows where she is going and takes care of her, because otherwise she would be lost. Heather has been serving this region since 2018, with Mike retiring in 2021, and is taking a sabbatical now after serving full time since 2021. They have been planning their adventures forever and are excited to relax, rejuvenate and recharge for the future with the Christian Church in the Southwest.

Heather and I did not know we took opposite pictures of each other until we posted our photos. The double shot of Carmel Macchiato was truly an eye-opener, especially after skipping breakfast.

We had lunch at the buffet and it was hard to find a table, but were able to travel vast distances with plates in hand. Yep, you guessed it, I had a plate of peel-and-eat shrimp! Of course, various vegetables, including purple cauliflower. Heather had beef fajita meat, and vegetables. The true standouts were the cakes they made specifically for the last cruise day. Ohh, the Boston-style cheesecake was my favorite, and Heather’s favorite was a rocky road candy. The proof is missing from the plates. Yum!

Then it was Jimmy Buffett time by the pool, where we found our friends who had been stalking who? Bill and Anna, two very nice people, thanked Heather and me for all our travel knowledge shared with them. It wasn’t much but helped them with future Princess Cruises. We look forward to seeing/ stalking them again.

Someone has been busy on this ship. Any ideas of whom it might be. Ducks are everywhere as well. The kids are squeaking duck farts/sounds all around.

Lastly, Heather and I have spent time together chilling and enjoying each other’s company. We had to fit everything into the all ready full suitcases we brought and weighed each one trying not to push them too much. It behooves us not to purchase any more souvenirs.
