Here is to our Great Adventure

Exciting Adventures Ahead!

Camp has finished, and the last week has been finalized. Now, we are off to explore the beauty of the USA and Canada!

Join us as we travel through this sabbatical adventure, sharing our experiences and memories along the way! Stay tuned for updates and photos from our explorations!

Michael and Heather Reed live in Amarillo. Well we own a house in Amarillo. Heather is a Community Regional minister for the CCSW and Mike travels with her to make sure she knows where she is going and takes care of her, because otherwise she would be lost. Heather has been serving this region since 2018, with Mike retiring in 2021, and is taking a sabbatical now after serving full time since 2021. They have been planning their adventures forever and are excited to relax, rejuvenate and recharge for the future with the Christian Church in the Southwest.

What an early riser Mr. Rhyder is. Probably the conditioning of having two working parents and a need for clean diapers and clothes before a busy day at daycare. He has been happy, sad, fed, changed, and very, very, mad at Nonie. He doesn’t like the word “No!” Especially when used with his name “No! Rhyder Scott D! No!” It is a plus that he gets over things pretty quickly. We hung out and played a good part of the day. Nonie knows how to tickle monster this little guy and he eats it up!

Great Grand-mommy and Grand-daddy came to spend some quality time with the three of us today. Was a pleasure catching up and chatting about past and future adventures for all of us. They are traveling with Kenneth and Becky, their grown children and families. They are flying to Montana and exploring Glacier National Park. We wish safe travels for all and plenty of lasting memories.

Time passed way too fast today. Before we knew it Scotty was here to claim his lineage and his son’s accoutrements. Heathers parents left at the same time leaving Heather and I to finish our remaining chores before having a microwaveable dinner. Yum! But easy. Thanks Healthy Choice for your convenience and selection. I ate my lone tomato as it seemed appropriate. It was delicious, thanks again to Gabby and Chuck for sharing.

Tomorrow we will be continuing our adventure bright and early. Kind of excited and kind of nervous about the travel ahead but here we go. Goodnight everyone. Here is to us all getting a lot of rest tonight.
