We are in Kenora Ontario, Canada leaving for Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. Another Province checked off our list.

First stop was? Yeppers, Tim Horton’s! Picked up breakfast items and Heather tried something new. A scrambled egg and sausage with cheese in a box. I stayed with the usual. We both had the coffee that tasted a bit different. We had been drinking the dark roast but today they gave us regular grind coffee. We love the dark roast and will definitely order correctly for our duration in Canada. We stopped for gas, then we drove to this beautiful park for a breakfast All’aperto! If you say “Al fresco” Italian waiters may think you mean jail. Not cool… just saying.

We enjoyed our breakfast and took a walk through the park. We visited Husky the Musky! He’s been an icon for the city since 1967.

Next we drove another hundred kilometers or more and ended up here in the exact Center of Canada 🍁 Okay it was a planned stop. It is also the half way point by approximate miles we have driven to how many we have to go. So far we have driven in Canada 1,654 miles. Our calculations across are 3,380 miles. We drove 4,362 miles in the U.S. before our cruise, but who’s counting? Je suis! (I am!)

We are now in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. It’s now laundry time. Got to clean everything! Big plans for tomorrow here in The Peg or The Slurpee Capital of the World. 7-11 claimed they have sold more Slurpees every month here in Winnipeg, 188,833 per month to be exact, than anywhere globally for more than 20 years.

With clean clothes washed, dried, and folded we headed for dinner just down the road. Smitty’s Family Restaurant. They have all day breakfast menu along with regular meals to include turkey and dressing. Just no cranberry sauce. Was mediocre with slow service. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes. Heather liked her pancake.

An old man (possibly my age) is talking with his wife. “There’s definitely too many gadgets in these new cars.” “All I wanted to do was back up and now it’s showing me a video of someone getting ran over!”

Today’s Shout Out is for our Niece Sydney Williamson! She loves the Sunflowers 🌻 and when we see one or millions, we see her smiling. We will also share this Shout Out with her husband Cole whom stole her heart and is a great addition to our family. Go Royals! Go Chiefs! Miss you both.
