Michael and Heather Reed live in Amarillo. Well we own a house in Amarillo. Heather is a Community Regional minister for the CCSW and Mike travels with her to make sure she knows where she is going and takes care of her, because otherwise she would be lost. Heather has been serving this region since 2018, with Mike retiring in 2021, and is taking a sabbatical now after serving full time since 2021. They have been planning their adventures forever and are excited to relax, rejuvenate and recharge for the future with the Christian Church in the Southwest.

IT IS CRUISE DAY!!!! We caught an uber this morning down to Pier 27. The Princess pier in San Francisco. Another intense driver but one that did not scare us and was very capable to navigate that crazy San Francisco cruise port traffic. It was insane!! We got to the Princess Ruby and got ready to sail away to Alaska. From

The time we got on the ship, we watched our safety videos, went to our muster stations and explored the ship until it was time to disembark. we went to the front of the ship and joined in the celebration. We sat and talked to several different couples and just relaxed. We were on our way. The last Princess cruise they played the Love Boat theme every time we embarked and disembarked. We found we missed it this time but quickly forgot and got swept up in the fun. As we went to sea we passed by Alcatraz and then under the Golden Gate Bridge. So cool. Had a great steak dinner and desserts at the Crowne Grill which was as good as the previous ship. From there we explored some more and watched some Karaoke. It was fun. One of my favorite things from today is Mike had ordered some flowers for me for our room. They are beautiful and unexpected. He is so sweet. I am lucky to have him take care of me. Well goodnight all. Let’s see what adventures tomorrow brings.
