Michael and Heather Reed live in Amarillo. Well we own a house in Amarillo. Heather is a Community Regional minister for the CCSW and Mike travels with her to make sure she knows where she is going and takes care of her, because otherwise she would be lost. Heather has been serving this region since 2018, with Mike retiring in 2021, and is taking a sabbatical now after serving full time since 2021. They have been planning their adventures forever and are excited to relax, rejuvenate and recharge for the future with the Christian Church in the Southwest.

Well, it’s the last day of the month, and payday. We’ve been traveling for quite some time now. Heather and I are quite excited about going downtown Boston today. Parking in this city is quite expensive due to high demand and to encourage people to use public transportation. We have to go downtown to pick up my medication refills from the Walgreens.

The first step is loading the car. Next, we’ll pick up our packing supplies from Walmart and head to the post office to send another box home. Although I’ve reduced the amount of underwear by leaving a pair of tighty whities in each state, we still have some items to send home.

We’ve attached our luggage tags and Heather did our laundry today, so we’re starting fresh tomorrow. When my medication is ready, we’ll have to travel to and from the Walgreens downtown Boston, which is an hour or more round trip from our current location. Therefore, we’re keeping the rental car for now.

Tonight is the Border Cafe a few blocks away and is highly rated. Its claim to fame is Tex/Mex & Cajun. Dinner was different. The food was definitely not Tex/Mex! We think it was more Jamaican. Spices were different and the only Cajun spice was blackened everything. Finally we are next door to a huge mall with a AMC theater. Spider Man’s new movie in 3D! Bring on the popcorn extra butter cause Heather likes it that way. The movie was great 👍 Heather and I agree that we should have watched the 5th Spider Man movie before seeing this one.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day with Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Zendaya as MJ. Definitely a great movie 👍

Today, we didn’t take many pictures because we were stuck in heavy highway traffic. However, we did see some fantastic pictures of Glacier National Park. The scenery was breathtaking, and of smiling faces of people we know and love. Here are a few of the pictures we’ll share with you. Thank you, Mom, for sharing these with us.

We’re constantly on the lookout for bears, especially while driving. Our car’s navigation system occasionally warns us of bears on the left and right, which can be misleading but ultimately helps us reach our destination. (Bear left and bear right)

Heather FaceTimed with Rhyder just before the movie and he was a hoot. He is now off formula and is on milk. He doesn’t like it cold. 🥶
