If anything the Amish have been laughing at us for years. Especially when they go clicky clacking right past us at the gas station. Just sayin’ …
Our long awaited return to home is now complete. Lots to do around here getting caught up. We have a small mountain of mail to go through. Groceries and medicines to pick up. Along with all of our medical appointments we will be busy before the Reverend Heather jumps back into her calling, refreshed and renewed!

I have been busy with a clogged drain on our air conditioner. Lots of fun! My back has been bothering me still and the plane rides just aggravated it even more. Powering through after several hours and my new plunger 🪠 delivered by Walmart. Ta da! Success! Ohh the things we take for granted. I was one plunge away from calling a professional plumber. This old man didn’t ever give up. I just now know what my limits are and I had reached it on that last plunge and I heard whoosh! 💨

Heather and I agreed that over the next few days we will summarize our journey and highlight our favorites and maybe include some of our bloopers. So give us a few days and check back for the Grand Exit that started almost 3 months ago! Be sure to give us a comment or a like. May God bless you and your family and thank you for being a part of our lives…

Most of us begin our lives with our families, our built-in tribes which are forever formed by shared memories, unspoken bonds, and unwavering loyalty. As we journey through life, we encounter friends—kind souls who laugh at our quirks, share our deepest thoughts, and remain by our side simply because they care. Both our families and our friends provide us with a sense of belonging, offering us a mirror to reflect on our true selves. Thank you to all of our family and friends, and many new friends of whom were made along this journey from Alaska to Quebec City and all points in between. For all of the wonderful Disciples of Christ Camps, thank you for your hospitality and sharing your history and experiences with us. We have many wonderful ideas and stories to help enrich our camps here in Texas. We especially enjoyed the gifts of one of their songbooks and a book titled ‘Sacred Playgrounds’ from Camp Laurelview in Pennsylvania. They graciously hosted us in their impressive Farm House on property with wonderful views. We will share the songbook and may it inspire our camps to create such a lasting legacy.
